Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
- Remove the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .
- Remove the bolts (7) retaining the seat back hinge / recliner mechanisms (6) to the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Hinge and Recliner Mechanism Replacement .
- Remove the bolts (4) retaining the seat cushion frame to the adjuster.
- Remove the power seat switch bracket (2), if equipped.
Installation Procedure
- Position the power seat switch bracket (2) to the seat cushion frame, if equipped.
- Install the screws (3) to retain the power seat switch bracket.
- Install the bolts (4) retaining the seat cushion frame to the adjuster.
- Install the bolts (4) to retain the seat cushion frame to the adjuster.
- Install the bolts (7) to retain the seat cushion frame.
- Install the bolts (7).
- Install the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .
- Install the front seat into the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
