Stamping Error on Generator Assembly - kw electrical GMT600 GMT610 inaccurate number part

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Generators were labeled with the same serial number (15754097M) but had different current ratings (145A and 130A) stamped on them toward the end of 2002. Generators had an electrical performance check prior to leaving the plant and 100% have the 145A current rating.

The requirements for GMT610 are 145A, and all generators should in fact be 145A and not 130A. If a generator replacement is required, replace the generator with a 145A for GMT610.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
