Battery Positive Cable Extension Cable Junction Block Replacement 6.6L
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- Remove the positive extension cable nut from the junction block and disconnect the cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
- Remove the positive extension cable nut from the intake air heater and disconnect the cable.
- Disconnect the wiring harness clips.
- Remove the battery positive cover from the underhood bused electrical center (UBEC).
- Remove the positive extension cable nut from the UBEC terminal stud.
- Remove the positive extension cable.
Installation Procedure
- Position the positive extension cable and connect the wiring harness clips.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Position the positive extension cable to the UBEC terminal stud and install the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the positive extension cable to UBEC terminal stud to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the battery positive cover to the UBEC.
- Position the positive extension cable to the intake air heater and install the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the positive extension cable to intake air heater nut to 4 N·m (34 lb in).
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
- Position the positive extension cable to the junction block and install the cable nut.
Tighten
Tighten the positive extension cable to junction block nut to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
