The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A dealer may encounter a customer concern of SES light on with DTC P041D.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Complete the current SI diagnostic for any DTC or symptom found.
If a P041D has been found and diagnostics were inconclusive please do not replace the EGR Temperature sensor.
Engineering is investigating vehicles with an intermittent DTC P041D setting.
If a dealer does encounter DTC P041D clear the DTC and return the vehicle to the customer for evaluation.
This PI will be updated when more information becomes available.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
