Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Support the transmission with a safety stand.
- Remove the brake combination valve to transmission support crossmember mounting bolt.
- Remove the fuel filter bracket to transmission support crossmember retaining bolts.
- Remove the transmission mount to the transmission support crossmember retaining nut, for RWD vehicles.
- Remove the transmission mount to the transmission support crossmember retaining nuts, for 4WD vehicles.
- Remove the transmission support crossmember to the frame mounting bolts.
- Remove the transmission support crossmember from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the transmission support crossmember to the vehicle.
- Install the transmission support crossmember to the frame mounting bolts.
- Install the transmission mount to the transmission support crossmember retaining nuts, for 4WD vehicles and tighten to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
- Install the transmission mount to the transmission support crossmember retaining nut, for RWD vehicles and tighten to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
- Install the fuel filter bracket to transmission support crossmember retaining bolts and tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Install the brake combination valve to transmission support crossmember mounting bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Remove the safety stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
