Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the window completely.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 334032  Size: SH
  5. Remove the lock rods (2) from the lock (6).
  6. Remove the rear run channel from the door. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .
  7. Remove the nuts (8) and the bracket (7) that retain the outside door handle (1) to the door.
  8. Remove the outside door handle (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 334032  Size: SH
  1. Install the outside door handle (1) to the door.
  2. Install the nuts (8) and the bracket (7) in order to retain the handle (1) to the door.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the nuts (8) that retain the outside door handle (1) to the door.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining nuts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  6. Install the rear run channel to the door. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .
  7. Install the lock rods (2) to the lock (6).
  8. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  9. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
