Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 879684 Size: SH
  1. Remove the inside door handle bezel. Refer to Rear Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement .
  2. Remove the screw (1) from the door trim plate (2).
  3. Partially remove the trim plate (2) from the door trim panel.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the door lock switch, if equipped.
  5. Remove the front door trim plate (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Partially install the door trim plate (2) to the door trim panel.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the door lock switch, if equipped.
  3. Align the door trim plate (2) to the door trim panel

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screw (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw that retains the front door trim plate to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in)

  5. Install the inside door handle bezel. Refer to Rear Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement .
