Terminal Repair Kit
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the heater coolant heater. Refer to
Heater Coolant Heater Replacement
.
- Remove the heater coolant heater control module (4). Refer to
Heater Coolant Heater Control Replacement
.
- Remove the heater coolant heater blower cover retaining screws (2).
- Remove the heater coolant heater blower cover (3).
- Remove the heater coolant heater combustion cover retaining screws (1).
- Remove the heater coolant heater combustion cover.
- Remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensor retaining screw.
- Remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensor retaining bracket.
Important: Remove and discard the O-ring on the temperature sensors.
- Remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensors.
Important: Note the routing of the wiring to ensure proper installation.
- Using J-38125-560 remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensors wiring from the electrical connector.
Installation Procedure
- Install the heater coolant heater temperature sensors wiring to the electrical connector.
- Install the heater coolant heater temperature sensors with new O-rings.
- Install the heater coolant heater temperature sensor retaining bracket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the heater coolant heater temperature sensor retaining screw (5).
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
- Install the heater coolant heater combustion cover.
- Install the heater coolant heater combustion cover retaining screws (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the heater coolant heater blower cover (3).
- Install the heater coolant heater blower cover retaining screws (2).
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the heater coolant heater control module (4). Refer to
Heater Coolant Heater Control Replacement
.
- Install the heater coolant heater. Refer to
Heater Coolant Heater Replacement
.
- Lower the vehicle.
