Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Do only the power windows exhibit this symptom?

  1. Observe the following parameters in BCM data list:
  2. • Driver Door Ajar Sw.
    • Passenger Door Ajar Sw.
    • Cargo Door Ajar Switch
  3. Open and close each door while observing the respective parameter.

Does the scan tool display change from On to Off?

Go to Step 4

  1. Install a scan tool. Select diagnostic circuit check and then class 2 power mode.
  2. Close all the doors.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Wait 5 seconds then turn the ignition OFF.
  5. Wait the time-out for RAP.

Did the scan tool display the RAP power mode, then time-out and display Off-Awake power mode?

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the WND RAP relay.

Do the power windows operate?

Go to Step 6

Repair the short to battery in the WND RAP supply voltage circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 13

  1. Open the driver door.
  2. Connect a test lamp across the relay coil circuits of the WND RAP relay.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 8

Test the RAP supply voltage circuit for a short to B+.

Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF, when testing for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Inspect for poor connections at the WND RAP relay. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and to Connector Repairs .

Replace the WND RAP relay.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 13

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the body control module (BCM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Replace the BCM. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.

Did you complete the procedure?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
