Heater Inlet Hose Replacement 4.3L

Heater Inlet Hose Replacement 4.3L-C60-Engine to Valve

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
3. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement.
4. Remove the accumulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement.



5. Reposition the heater inlet hose (2) clamp to the coolant bypass valve.
6. Remove the heater inlet hose (2) from the coolant bypass valve.



7. Reposition the heater inlet hose clamp to the engine.
8. Remove the heater inlet hose from the engine.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the heater inlet hose to the engine.
2. Reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the engine using J 38185 .



3. Install the heater inlet hose (2) to the coolant bypass valve.
4. Reposition the heater inlet hose (2) clamp at the coolant bypass valve using J 38185 .
5. Install the accumulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement.
6. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement.
7. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
8. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.

Heater Inlet Hose Replacement 6.6L -without Bypass Valve

Preliminary Procedure Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement. Remove the accumulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement.
