Remover
Removal Procedure
- Use the J 38778
to disengage the retainers around the outside edges of the lower portion of the door
trim panel (1).
- Carefully pull the door trim panel (1) out of the retainers around
the window opening.
A long flat bladed tool may be necessary to aid in releasing the door trim panel (1)
from the window opening retainers.
- Remove the front door panel (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door trim panel (1) to the
door by performing the following:
Align the door trim panel (1) to the retainers in the window opening.
- Push towards the door to engage the retainers.
- Align the retainers on the edges of the lower portion of the door trim (1).
- Push towards the door to engage the retainers.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear side door trim plate. Refer to
Rear Door Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Remove the side door pull handle screws.
- Remove the side door pull handle.
- Use the
J 38778
to disengage the retainers around the outside edges of the lower portion of the door trim panel (1)
- Carefully pull the door trim panel (1) out of the retainers around the window opening.
A long flat bladed tool may be necessary to aid in releasing the door trim panel (1) from the window opening retainers.
- Remove the door panel (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door trim panel (1) to the door by performing the following:
• | Align the door trim panel (1) to the retainers in the window opening. |
• | Push towards the door to engage the retainers. |
• | Align the retainers on the edges of the lower portion of the door trim (1). |
• | Push towards the door to engage the retainers. |
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the pull handle and screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).
- Install the rear side door trim plate. Refer to
