The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The dealer may find DTC(s) U0100 and/or U0101 set in the BCM when checking for codes. These codes will usually be set with other communications codes. These codes can be set as current or history. The BCM may set U0100 and/or U0101 as a false code(s) when other communications codes set.
Recommendation/Instructions:
At this time disregard the U0100 and/or U0101 set in the BCM. If other communications codes are set, follow the diagnostics in SI for the appropriate code. Engineering is working on a software fix for this concern. When more information becomes available this PI will be updated.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
