6.0L LY6, 4L80E MT1, G33903 G-Cutaway Rental Fleet Vans D4 and Reverse Gears Not Operating (Refer to Recall 08218)

This bulletin is being revised to add the Express model, update the Correction and Warranty Information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-07-30-031 (Section 07 - Transmission/Transaxle).

Some customers may comment that the D4 and reverse gears in the transmission are not operating. Before the condition occurred, they may have observed that the speedometer reads zero intermittently while the vehicle is still moving, or they had been driving on certain specific mountainous terrain. This condition is only known to have occurred on model G33903 G-cutaway rental fleet vans produced with the following configuration:

Technicians should refer to Recall 08218. Dealers are to confirm vehicle eligibility prior to beginning any repairs using the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS).
