Removal Procedure
- Drain the fuel below the fuel fill neck. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Loosen the fuel fill hose clamps (1) at the tank and the filler neck.
- Remove the fuel fill hose from the tank and filler neck.
- Cap the fuel and vent holes in the fuel tank in order to prevent possible fuel system contamination.
Installation Procedure
- Remove the caps from the fuel and vent holes in the fuel tank.
- Install the fuel fill hose to the tank and filler neck.
- Tighten the fuel fill hose clamps (1) at the tank and filler neck to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill the fuel to the previous level.
