Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the exhaust system, if necessary.

    3. Object Number: 72787 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts retaining the heat shield to the frame.
  4. Remove the heat shield.
  5. It may be necessary to SLIGHTLY bend the heat shield for clearance to remove.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 72787 Size: SH
  1. Install the heat shield to the frame rail.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the heat shield bolts and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
  3. Install the exhaust system, if necessary.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
