Preliminary Procedure

Remove the radiator and charged air cooler as an assembly. Refer to Radiator Replacement.

Charged Air Cooler Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
21 N·m (15 lb ft)

Charged Air Cooler

Procedure

1. Clean the charged air cooler by flushing with mild soap and water. Do not use steam pressure to clean.
2. Inspect the charged air cooler for damage, replace if any of the following conditions exist:

•	Damaged fins

•	Cracked or distorted hose connections

•	Broken or loose welds

•	Leaks in the core or tank connections
