Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 660517 Size: SH
  1. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement - Left Side and/or Cylinder Head Replacement - Right Side.
  2. Loosen the valve lifter guide hold down bracket bolts.
  3. Remove the valve lifter guide hold down brackets.
  4. Remove the valve lifter guides.
  5. Remove the valve lifters.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 660517 Size: SH
  1. Apply clean engine oil to the lifters.
  2. Install the valve lifter.
  3. Install the valve lifter guides.
  4. Install the valve lifter guide hold down brackets.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the valve lifter guide hold down bracket bolt and tighten to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
  6. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement - Left Side and/or Cylinder Head Replacement - Right Side.
