The customer concern may be described as a very slight hesitation, or a throttle delay. If the customer concern of hesitation occurs when the driver accelerates from a steady cruising speed (around 60 to 70 mph), do not attempt repairs.

Recommendation/Instructions:

  1. Complete SI diagnosis for any symptoms or DTCs found.
  2. If there are no DTCs, test drive the vehicle and verify the customer concern.
  3. If there is a hesitation or a throttle delay when the vehicle is accelerated from a steady cruising speed, compare the concern to a like vehicle.
  4. A slight hesitation or throttle delay on a 6.6 diesel equipped vehicle is a characteristic of the vehicle. No repair attempts should be made for this concern

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
