Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1206679  Size: SH
  1. Drain the generator control module (GCM) cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the push pin from the right side radiator air baffle.
  4. Remove the bolts (2) from the GCM coolant pump (1).
  5. Reposition the GCM coolant pump (1) from the radiator core support (3).

  6. Object Number: 1285623  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the GCM coolant pump (2).

  8. Object Number: 1206677  Size: SH
  9. Reposition the GCM coolant pump radiator hose clamp (2) from the GCM coolant pump (1).
  10. Remove the GCM coolant pump radiator hose (3) from the GCM coolant pump (1).

  11. Object Number: 1206695  Size: SH
  12. Reposition the GCM coolant pump coolant hose clamp (1) from the GCM coolant pump (2).
  13. Remove the GCM coolant pump coolant hose (4) from the GCM coolant pump (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1206695  Size: SH
  1. Install the GCM coolant pump coolant hose (4) to the GCM coolant pump (2).
  2. Position the GCM coolant pump coolant hose clamp (1) to the GCM coolant pump (2).

  3. Object Number: 1206677  Size: SH
  4. Position the GCM coolant pump radiator hose clamp (2) to the GCM coolant pump (1).
  5. Install the GCM coolant pump radiator hose (3) to the GCM coolant pump (1).

  6. Object Number: 1285623  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the GCM coolant pump (2).

  8. Object Number: 1206679  Size: SH
  9. Position the GCM coolant pump (1) to the radiator core support (3).
  10. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  11. Install the bolts (2) to the GCM coolant pump (1).
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  13. Install the push pin to the right side radiator air baffle.
  14. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  15. Notice: The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing starter/generator control module damage.

  16. Fill the GCM cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling .
