Rear End Spoiler Replacement

Rear End Spoiler Bolts Outer (Qty: 4)

Tighten
7.5 N·m (66 lb in)

Rear End Spoiler Bolts Inner (Qty: 5)

Tighten
7.5 N·m (66 lb in)

Rear End Spoiler Strip Tape

Tip

  1. Heat the spoiler using a heat gun. Hold the heat gun approximately 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
  2. Apply heat using a circular motion for about 30 seconds.
  3. Starting from one end of the spoiler, work the edge of spoiler using a flat-bladed tool.
  4. Remove all adhesive from the body panel using a 3M™ stripe off wheel # 07498 or equivalent.
  5. Clean the area where is to be mounted. Use a suitable solvent such as flash naphtha or a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl alcohol and 50 percent water.
  6. Dry the area thoroughly.

Rear End Spoiler Extension Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

Remove the tail lamp to expos the nut and bolts. Refer to Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Replacement .

Rear Spoiler Extension Bolt

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Tip

  1. Align the tailgate spoiler with the extension spoiler before removing the strip tape and tighten the fasteners.
  2. Transfer to the spoiler extension bracket if necessary.

Rear Spoiler Extension Nuts (Qty: 2)

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Rear End Spoiler Strip Tape

Tip

  1. Heat the spoiler using a heat gun. Hold the heat gun approximately 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
