The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some owners may comment that there is a "clicking" noise heard when closing the tailgate. This noise may be caused by the right side snap-in hinge bushing.

Note:: The tailgate support cables do make some noise during closing as they contact the hem of the endgate during closing, this is minimal and normal.

If noise is determined to be the right side snap-in hinge bushing, replace it with part number 15866337.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
