TR-4050 Series transmissions have an advanced design with 5 synchronized forward gears and 1 synchronized reverse gear. This design offers a more efficient ratio of torque-weight than any other 5-speed transmission in its class. This transmission uses a gear mechanism provided as a 5th gear system inhibitor to the back and is located in the shifting tower of the transmission.

Important: All TR-4050 transmissions are identified by model and series numbers as well as the date of manufacture. This information is stamped on the transmission identification plate and is affixed to the case.
