Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter Replacement Extended Cab
Removal Procedure
Note: Tape off the perimeter of the sunroof window opening before removing the sunroof module to prevent scratching.
- Remove the air deflector. Refer to
Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement.
- Set the sunroof window to be in the open position of a minimum of 25 mm (1 in).
Note: It is only necessary to lower the headlinder. Only do those steps in headlinder replacement that will lower the headlinder enough to grain access.
- Remove the sunroof module assembly.
- Remove the screws (1) from the water gutter (2).
- Slide the water gutter rearward to release the retaining tabs (1) from the slots (2) in the track.
- Remove the water gutter (3) from the track.
Installation Procedure
- Position the sunroof water gutter to the sunroof window track.
- Seat the retaining tabs (1) on the water gutter (3) into the slots (2) in the track, and push the water gutter forward until the retaining tabs lock into place.
- Ensure that all 6 tabs are secured.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the water gutter screws (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the sunroof module.
- Open the sunroof window to the fully open position.
- Install the air deflector. Refer to
Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement.
- Remove the tape from around the perimeter of the sunroof window.
- Verify that the sunroof is operating properly.

Preliminary ProcedureIt is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the Headliner Replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to

| Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter
Procedure
- Only the remove the drain hose side that is being work on. Refer to
Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement.
- Release the sunroof housing drain gutter clips located on the edge of the housing.
- Clean all of the old sealer from the drain gutter and the frame rail.
- Apply Kent Automotive High-Tech Clear Sealer (P/N P10200) 5 ounce tube or equivalent to the sunroof drain gutter on the path shown above.
- After installing the drain gutter, smooth out any sealer that may have squeezed out so there is a smooth transition between the gutter and the frame rail so water will not dam up or block the drain opening.
- Verify the drain gutter is fully engaged to the frame rail.
