Preliminary Procedures

1. Position the door window as needed for service.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

Rear Outside Door Handle Bolt (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip

1. Release the outside handle rod from the lock retainer clip.
2. Release the lock cylinder rod from the door lock.
3. Remove the outside door handle with the rod attached.

Tighten
7 N·m (62 lb in)

Rear Side Door Outside Handle

Tip
Transfer the handle rod to the new handle.

Rear Side Door Latch Control Handle Screw (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
5 N·m (44 lb in)

Rear Side Door Latch Control Handle Upper Cable

Tip
Release the cable end from the latch retainer before pull the handle all way out.

Rear Side Door Latch Control Handle Lower Cable

Tip
Release the cable end from the latch retainer before pull the handle all way out.

Rear Side Door Latch Control Handle

Tip
Release the cable end from the inside handle retainer.
