Circuit/System Description

This DTC is set anytime a new transfer case shift control module is installed. The transfer case motor learn procedure must be performed to erase this DTC. The DTC must learn the amount of clutch tolerance depending on clutch stackup and the amount of wear the clutches have accumulated.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • The ignition is ON.
    • System voltage is 10.5-18 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The motor learn procedure for a new module has not been performed.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • Shifting is still disabled until the motor learn procedure has been performed.
    • The SERVICE 4WD indicator does not light for this DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The transfer case shift control module clears the DTC if the motor learn procedure has been successfully performed.
