This PI was superceded to update Recommendation/Instructions. Please discard PIP4308.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A dealer may encounter a customer concern of SES light on with DTC P041D.
Recommendation/Instructions:
There has been a updated calibration released for P041D. The updated calibration can be found in TIS2000 under the title,
"P0402, P041D Robustness Improvement, Allow Exhaust Filter Service Regen w/ P244B set, Turn off P009E & P2459, EGR Max Service Device Control increased to 10 minutes."
Update the ECM with the latest calibration and evaluate the customer concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
