In the past, a complete service repair kit was available for coding lock cylinders. However, the 2007 model year vehicles do not offer a complete service repair kit anymore. The tumblers, springs, and retainers will come with the new replacement cylinder
known as a "cylinder kit". The cylinder kit comes complete with an instruction sheet for servicing and code sequence. When receiving a lock cylinder kit, you may notice that the tumblers are labeled with letters and numbers (example:
B1, C1, D4, etc.). Please disregard the letters that are stamped on the tumblers. The alphabet letter is used to reference where the batch of tumblers were stamped. Use the number listed on the tumbler to code the lock cylinder. The parts department can help
provide the specific lock cylinder kit needed for service.
Important: Make sure the lock cylinder on order states it is a kit or includes the tumblers, springs and retainers. Some lock cylinders are still available uncoded and do not come with the other service parts.
