The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment that the content theft alarm is inoperative. If the vehicle is equipped with RKE (RPO AU0) and does not have RPO YE9 or Y91 the vehicle is not equipped with content theft alarm.
Note: The window sticker, under standard Safety and Security, will indicate that Theft Deterrent System is standard equipment. This is in reference to the PassKey III+ and is not meant to included/imply Content Theft Deterrent system.
Recommendation/Instructions:
No repairs should be made as this normal.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
