The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Customers may comment that the vehicle exhibits various intermittent shifting related concern, possible range inhibit message and or intermittent transmission related DTCs.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the vehicle wiring harness near the left cab mount under the driver's door area for being pinched (see photo 1). The pinched harness may be found in any of the above listed vehicle but is more prone to appear in crew cab models. If the harness is found to be pinched repair any effected wiring and reroute the harness so it is no longer pinched (see photo 2).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
