SMU - SECTION 4E - FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM NOTICE ON FUEL TANK

SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE-SECTION 4E-FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM- NOTICE ON FUEL TANK REMOVAL

MODELS: 1995 CHEVROLET AND GMC S/T MODELS WITH 4.3L ENGINE (VINS Z AND W - RPOS LB4 AND L35)

THIS BULLETIN IS BEING ISSUED TO INFORM TECHNICIANS OF A NOTICE TO AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE ROLL OVER VALVES LOCATED ON TOP OF THE FUEL TANK. CARE MUST BE USED TO ENSURE THAT THE CONNECTIONS TO BOTH ROLL OVER VALVES ARE DISCONNECTED PRIOR TO LOWERING THE FUEL TANK MORE THAN 51 MM. (TWO INCHES). ROLL OVER VALVES ARE LOCATED AT BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE FUEL TANK.

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SERVICE MANUAL ACCORDINGLY.
