Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

2. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
3. Remove the crankshaft front seal.

1. J 35468 Crankshaft Seal Installer and Centering Tool

1. Install the crankshaft front seal.
2. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
