Front Seat Belt Pickup

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 68063  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolt that retains the lower seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 7692  Size: SH
  3. Carefully pry open the upper seat belt anchor plate cover with a flat-bladed tool.

  4. Object Number: 68062  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolt that retains the upper seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.

  6. Object Number: 8751  Size: SH
  7. Use a flat-bladed tool to carefully remove the seat belt opening trim cover.
  8. Remove the body side trim panel, refer to SECTION 10A4.
  9. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the body side trim cover.

  10. Object Number: 68061  Size: SH
  11. Remove the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  12. Remove the seat belt retractor assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 68061  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt retractor assembly bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the body side trim cover.
  5. Install the body side trim panel, refer to SECTION 10A4.
  6. Install the seat belt opening trim cover.

  7. Object Number: 68062  Size: SH
  8. Install the upper seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the upper seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  10. Close the upper seat belt anchor plate cover.

  11. Object Number: 68063  Size: SH
  12. Install the lower seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the lower seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

Front Seat Belt Two-Door Utility

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 68049  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolt that retains the lower seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 7692  Size: SH
  3. Carefully pry open the upper seat belt anchor plate cover with a flat-bladed tool.

  4. Object Number: 68048  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolt that retains the upper seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.
  6. Remove the body side trim panel, refer to SECTION 10A4.
  7. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the body side trim cover.

  8. Object Number: 68050  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  10. Remove the seat belt retractor assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 68050  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt retractor assembly bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  7. Install the upper seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the upper seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  9. Close the upper seat belt anchor plate cover.

  10. Object Number: 68049  Size: SH
  11. Install the lower seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the lower seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

Front Seat Belt Four-Door Utility

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 7690  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolt that retains the lower seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 7692  Size: SH
  3. Carefully pry open the upper seat belt anchor plate cover with a flat-bladed tool.

  4. Object Number: 68052  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolt that retains the upper seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.
  6. Remove the front side door lock pillar garnish molding, refer to SECTION 10A4.
  7. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the garnish molding.

  8. Object Number: 68051  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  10. Remove the seat belt retractor assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 68051  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt retractor assembly bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  4. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the garnish molding.
  5. Install the front side door lock pillar garnish molding, refer to SECTION 10A4.

  7. Install the upper seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the upper seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  9. Close the upper seat belt anchor plate cover.

  10. Object Number: 7690  Size: SH
  11. Install the lower seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the vehicle.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the lower seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

Front Seat Belt Rear Side Door

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 68029  Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolt that retains the lower seat belt anchor plate to the rear side door.

  2. Object Number: 7692  Size: SH
  3. Carefully pry open the upper seat belt anchor plate cover with a flat-bladed tool.

  4. Object Number: 68042  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolt that retains the upper seat belt anchor plate to the rear side door.

  6. Object Number: 8751  Size: SH
  7. Use a flat-bladed tool to carefully remove the seat belt opening trim cover.
  8. Remove the rear side door trim panel, refer to SECTION 10A1.
  9. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the rear side door trim panel.

  10. Object Number: 68046  Size: SH
  11. Remove the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the rear side door.
  12. Remove the seat belt retractor assembly from the rear side door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 68046  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat belt retractor assembly to the rear side door.
  2. Install the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the rear side door.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt retractor assembly bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   4. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the rear side door.
  5. Install the rear side door trim panel, refer to SECTION 10A1.
  6. Install the seat belt opening trim cover.

  7. Object Number: 68042  Size: SH
  8. Install the upper seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the rear side door.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the upper seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  10. Close the upper seat belt anchor plate cover.

  11. Object Number: 68029  Size: SH
  12. Install the lower seat belt anchor plate and bolt to the rear side door.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the lower seat belt anchor plate bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
