Use only a water-soluble marker to mark the windshield. Other types of marker may damage the wiper elements. The chemicals that remove other types of marker may damage the following components:

The chemicals may leave a residue on the glass that could lead to wiper chatter.

Do not subject the wiper arms to temperatures above 70°C (160°F). Remove the wiper arms before starting any painting operation that uses an oven to cure the paint.
