The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Due to a recent supplier change, the front exhaust manifold pipe listed in special policy 05021A, part number 15168383, has superseded to part number 15850551. As shown below, the 15850551 pipe does not have an inner flange to center the front exhaust pipe seal and aid in installation.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If this concern is encountered, part number 15850551 should be used to complete special policy 05021A. To aid installation, a small amount of non-RTV adhesive should be used to hold the gasket in place while the front exhaust manifold pipe is installed.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
