The New Venture Gear 1500 transmission is a 5-speed unit that is synchronized in all gears. The transmission has a two-piece aluminum housing which consists of the following components:

    • The reverse idler gear
    • The shift forks
    • The shift shaft components

NV1500 Transmission

The five speed New Venture Gear 1500 manual transmission is one of the transmissions available with the 2.2L engine. The RPO code for the NV1500 is MW2. The NV1500 transmission is synchronized in all five gears. The NV1500 transmission has a two-piece aluminum housing that contains the following components:

    • The front input shaft
    • The rear output shaft
    • The mainshaft gears
    • The countershaft
    • The reverse and idler gear
