This bulletin is being revised to add an additional engine and its related information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 00-06-04-025 (Section 06 -- Engine).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the ABS light comes on at high speeds (above 70 mph or 113 km/h). Upon investigation, a DTC C0237, Rear Wheel Speed Signal Erratic, will be found.
Cause
Condition may due to normal fluctuations in the vehicle speed sensor signal that pass from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).
Correction
The PCM has been revised to add signal filtering to the speed sensor signal that is passed on to the EBCM. Install a new PCM.
Important: The VSS Signal Filter is the only change to the PCM. This PCM should not be used in an attempt to repair any condition other than the subject of this bulletin.
