Tools Required

J 37088-A Fuel Line Disconnect Tool Set

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .



3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Remove the fuel composition sensor (FCS) attachment nut (1).
5. Remove the 1 FCS attachment bolt. (5)
6. Remove the FCS from the frame rail (3).



7. Using the J 37088-1A and J 37088-2A, disconnect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes from the FCS.
8. Disconnect the FCS electrical connector. (4).
9. Remove the FCS from the bracket.

1. Install the FCS to the bracket.
2. Connect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes (6) to the FCS (1).
3. Connect the FCS electrical connector (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




4. Install the attaching nut (1).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft).

5. Install the 1 FCS attachment bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft).

6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Start the engine and inspect for fuel leaks.
