J 37088-A Fuel Line Disconnect Tool Set

Removal Procedure

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .

  3. Object Number: 639075  Size: SH
  4. Raise the vehicle.
  5. Remove the fuel composition sensor (FCS) attachment nut (1).
  6. Remove the 1 FCS attachment bolt. (5)
  7. Remove the FCS from the frame rail (3).

  8. Object Number: 639077  Size: SH
  9. Using the J 37088-1A and J 37088-2A, disconnect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes from the FCS.
  10. Disconnect the FCS electrical connector. (4).
  11. Remove the FCS from the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 639077  Size: SH
  1. Install the FCS to the bracket.
  2. Connect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes (6) to the FCS (1).
  3. Connect the FCS electrical connector (4).
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 639075  Size: SH
  5. Install the attaching nut (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft).

  7. Install the 1 FCS attachment bolt.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft).

  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Start the engine and inspect for fuel leaks.
