Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank 2-Door Utility and Pickup

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 331713  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) vapor pipe from the fuel sender assembly.
  4. Cap the fuel sender and EVAP vapor pipe in order to prevent contamination.

Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the caps from the fuel sender assembly and EVAP vapor pipe.

  2. Object Number: 331713  Size: SH
  3. Connect the EVAP vapor pipe to the fuel sender assembly.
  4. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 255018  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the rear EVAP pipe from the chassis EVAP pipe (1).

  4. Object Number: 747562  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the rear EVAP pipe (2) from the EVAP canister (4).
  6. Remove the EVAP vent and vapor pipes retaining strap at the chassis, noting the position for installation.

  7. Object Number: 748747  Size: SH
  8. Remove the rear EVAP pipe from the chassis clips (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 748747  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear EVAP pipe to the chassis clips (1).

  2. Object Number: 747562  Size: SH
  3. Install a new EVAP vent and vapor pipes retaining strap at the chassis, as noted during removal.
  4. Connect the rear EVAP pipe (2) to the EVAP canister (4).

  5. Object Number: 255018  Size: SH
  6. Connect the rear EVAP pipe to the chassis EVAP pipe (1).
  7. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
