Did you perform the Power Seat System Diagnostic System Check?

Operate the memory seat system.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the memory seat module.
2. Connect a test lamp between battery positive voltage and each of the memory seat switch signal circuits (one at a time) and operate each switch respectively.

Did the test lamp illuminate for each signal circuit when the circuits respective switch was operated?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Test for a open in the memory seat switch signal circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing an Wiring Repairs in Wiring Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the memory seat module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 7

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the seat adjuster switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the memory seat module. Refer to Memory Seat Control Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 9

Replace the seat adjuster switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 9

Operate the memory seat system to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
