The rear window wiper/washer system, on utility vehicles only, uses a positive-park, permanent-magnet wiper motor. The motor is mounted on the endgate. A wet-arm wiper assembly attaches directly to the wiper motor.

The rear wiper/washer switch controls the system operation. Pushing the switch to the WASH position will activate the washer pump, if the wiper is in LO or HI mode. The LO switch position operates the rear wiper in a delay mode. The HI switch position operates the rear wiper continuously.

Service the wiper motor as a unit. Overhaul kits are not available. The controller is not part of the motor. The controller can be replaced independently.

The washer hose exits the solvent container, passes along the cowl and through a grommet near the center of the cowl. The hose follows the rear lamp harness routing along the center of the vehicle floor. Behind the second seat, the hose passes the along the left side of the cargo area, over the left rear wheel area, then up the left rear corner of the vehicle. The washer hose passes through a second grommet on the rear window. The hose attaches to the wiper arm assembly.
