Is FRT WPR fuse 17 open.

The fuse is OK.

1. Replace the fuse.
2. Inspect CKT 143 for a short to ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Verify that all of the system's connectors are firmly seated.

The connectors are all firmly seated.

Firmly seat any loose connectors. If the connectors are damaged, refer to Connector Repairs .

Is the wiper arm transmission damaged?

The wiper arm transmission is operating normally.

Refer to Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement .

1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
2. Turn the washer switch to the ON position.

The wipers operate at low speed. The washer sprays the windshield as long as you hold the washer switch ON. After you release the switch, the washer stops, and the wipers return to the park position, after 2-4 sweeps.

1. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY (pulse mode).
2. Turn the wiper switch in order to change the delay.

The wipers make 1 complete sweep, then pause for 1-22 seconds, before sweeping again. The delay time changes as you turn the wiper switch.

1. Leave the wiper switch in DELAY.
2. Turn ON the washer switch.

The washer sprays the windshield as long as you hold the washer switch ON. The wipers run at low speed during the spraying. The wipers continue for 2-4 sweeps after you release the washer switch. The wipers return to pulse mode.

Turn the wiper switch to LO.

Do the wipers operate at low speed?

Go to Step 8

Turn the wiper switch to HI.

Do the wipers operate at high speed?

The wipers run continuously at high speed.

Turn the wiper switch to OFF.

The wipers return to the park position.

Wipers Blades Do Not Park

Turn the wiper switch to MIST, then release the switch.

Do the wipers make one complete sweep, then return to the park position?

System OK
