Was the system check performed?

  1. For Bravada only, disconnect the radio connector.
  2. For Chevrolet/GMC only, disconnect connector C2.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ACCY position.
  4. Provide enough ambient light in order to simulate daytime.
  5. For Bravada only, connect a test lamp from CKT 1382 (PPL/WHT) at the radio connector cavity F5.
  6. For Chevrolet/GMC only, connect a test lamp from connector C2 cavity 6 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C2.
  3. For Bravada only, connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 cavity A12 and the radio connector cavity F5.
  4. For Chevrolet/GMC only, connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 cavity 6 for CKT (1382) (PPL/WHT).

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Remove the radio.
  2. Repair or replace the radio.

Diagnose the body control module. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System .

  1. Locate an open in CKT 1382 (PPL/WHT) between the radio and the BCM.
  2. Repair the open.
