Did you perform the RAP System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

  1. Connect the scan tool.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Do not start the engine.
  3. Select Body Control Module on the scan tool.
  4. Use the scan tool in order to read the current DTC(s).

Does the scan tool display any current DTC(s)?

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type in Body Control System

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the radio ON.
  2. Operate the power windows, if equipped.
  3. Operate the sunroof, if equipped.

Do the radio, the power windows and the sunroof operate?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Radio/Audio System Check in Entertainment, Power Windows System Check in Doors, or Power Sunroof System Check in Roof

  1. Close all of the doors.
  2. Wait 20 seconds for all of the courtesy lamps to turn OFF.

Do the courtesy lamps turn OFF?

Go to Step 5

Go to Interior Lights Dimming System Check in Lighting Systems

  1. Remove the RAP relay from the BBEC.
  2. Use the appropriate probe from the J 35616-A for the next step.
  3. Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage at cavity 87 of the body bussed electrical center (BBEC).

Does the J 39200 DMM display battery voltage?

Replace the RAP relay.

Is the repair complete?
