Did you perform the Power Sunroof System Check?

  1. Disconnect connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Using a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM), measure the voltage at CKT 1001 (YEL) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

9-16 V

Go to Step 3

Measure the voltage between CKT 1001 (YEL) and CKT 1850 (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

9-16 V

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 1001 (YEL) between the sunroof module and the BBEC.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the sunroof module and G202.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect connector C1.
  2. Disconnect connector C2 at the sunroof module.
  3. Measure the continuity from cavity 2 (BRN) and cavity 3 (BLU) while depressing the switch in the OPEN position.

Is the resistance equal to or less than the specified value?

1 ohms

Measure the continuity from cavity 3 (BLU) and cavity 5 (ORN) while depressing the switch in the CLOSE position.

Is the resistance equal to or less than the specified value?

1 ohms

Inspect for an open from the sunroof switch and cavity 2 (BRN) and cavity 3 (BLU). Repair as necessary.

Did you locate and repair an open circuit?

Inspect for an the open from the sunroof switch and cavity 3 (BLU) and cavity 5 (ORN). Repair as necessary.

Did you locate and repair an open circuit?

Replace the sunroof control switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect connector C2.
  2. Turn the igniiton switch to the RUN position.
  3. Measure the voltage at connector C1, cavity A (LT GRN) to ground while depressing the sunroof switch in the OPEN position.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

9-16 V

Measure the voltage at connector C1, cavity C (DK GRN) to ground while depressing the sunroof switch in the CLOSE position.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

9-16 V

  1. Inspect the cables for foreign objects or binding. Repair the cables as necessary.
  2. If OK, replace the sunroof motor.

Inspect for an open in the circuit between connector C1 cavity A and the sunroof motor. Repair as necessary.

Inspect for an open in the circuit between connector C1 cavity C and the sunroof motor. Repair as necessary.
