The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
The front bucket seats (driver or passenger) will not lock into position. This could occur after using the easy entry feature or while trying to adjust the seat. This concern can happen if the seat track is not tightened to the correct torque specifications.
This information only applies to vehicles equipped with front bucket seats. If the seat track has been replaced or removed for any reason, it is important to torque the seat track mounting bolts (to floor pan) to the correct specifications. The front 2 bolts and the rear outboard bolt should be tightened 45 Nm +- 7 Nm (33 lb ft +- 62 lb in). The rear inboard bolt should be tightened to 70 Nm +- 10Nm (52 lb ft +- 89 lb in).
