Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution in the Preface section.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

Notice: Refer to Brake Caliper Notice in the Preface section.

3. Remove the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement in Front Suspension.



4. Remove the splash shield.

1. Install the splash shield.
2. Install the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement in Front Suspension.
3. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
6. Slowly release the brake pedal.
7. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 5-6 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
