Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement Pickup

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 298915  Size: SH
  1. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.

  2. Object Number: 613641  Size: SH
  3. Work the seat cover back to expose the tether anchor mounting bolt.
  4. Remove the tether anchor mounting bolt.
  5. Remove the tether anchor (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 613641  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the tether anchor (1) to the seat frame with the mounting bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the tether anchor bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Work the seat cover back to the original position.
  4. Engage the J-strip to the seat bottom frame.

  1. Remove the cargo tie down mounting bolt.
  2. Remove the cargo tie down loop.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 613646  Size: SH
  1. Position the cargo tie down loop on the floor.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the cargo tie down loop to the floor with the mounting bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the cargo tie down loop mounting bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
