Removal Procedure

  1. Open the endgate or the liftgate.
  2. Remove the rubber bumper.
  3. Turn the cargo net button counterclockwise in order to remove the cargo net button.

  4. Object Number: 300397  Size: SH
  5. Rotate the bumper clockwise or counterclockwise in order to adjust the bumper.
  6. Reinstall the bumper before checking the adjustment. The endgate or the liftgate should seal completely with a minimum of closing effort.
  7. Apply a drop of liquid thread adhesive GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or the equivalent to the bumper threads.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the cargo net button.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the cargo net button to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the rubber bumper.
