Radio Rear Speaker Replacement Pickup
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear body side trim panel. Refer to
Body Side Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the radio rear speaker nuts.
- Remove the rear speaker from the rear body side trim panel.
Installation Procedure
- Install the radio rear speaker to the rear body side trim panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the radio
rear speaker nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the radio rear speaker nuts to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Install the rear body side trim panel. Refer to
Body Side Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Inspect for proper circuit operation.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear body side
trim panel. Refer to
Body Side Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Remove the radio rear speaker retaining rivets.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the radio rear speaker from the rear body side trim panel.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical
connector.
- Install the radio rear speaker to the body side inner panel.
- Install the speaker retaining rivets using J 34940
.
- Install the rear body side trim panel. Refer to
Body Side Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Inspect for proper circuit operation.
