  1. Install the accumulator into the accumulator clamp.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the accumulator clamp bolt.
  4. Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Install the A/C low pressure switch.

  6. Object Number: 680063 Size: SH
  7. Install new O-ring seals. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
  8. Connect the compressor hose assembly to the accumulator (2).
  9. Tighten
Tighten the nut to 48 N·m (35 lb ft).

  10. Install the accumulator to evaporator retaining nut.
  11. Tighten
Tighten the nut to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  12. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C pressure switch.
  13. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  14. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A .
